FEA has almost two hundred faculty members, most of whom obtained their Ph.D. from top foreign universities. Faculty who got their Ph.D. in Brazil took a post-doc program abroad.

FEA’s teaching staff is eclectic and theoretically and ideologically diversified. Its members share an intellectual environment that values debates, offering room for different approaches to its study areas.

All FEA faculty members are researchers. Publishing books and articles in Brazil and abroad, teaching, advising students and disseminating research results through different communication means are part of their daily routine. The School is proud of publishing the highest number of technical articles in Brazil. 

FEA has 126 administrative staff members at its disposal, whose work is essential for the realization of teaching and research activities.  Whenever possible, the School has invested in training, infrastructure and equipment, with a view to improving the staff’s quality of life, qualification and productivity.

More than 3,105 students are registered in FEA’s three undergraduate courses: Administration, Accountancy and Economics. Each year, these courses offer 540 places. At graduate level, 551 students are registered in the three Departments, which offer 140 places per year.

Fea’s students are very committed. The institution attracts dedicated students who are always willing to take part in social actions and programs and participate in national debates. Junior FEA, an entity created by the students and supported by the School, offers students the opportunity to have contact with the reality of companies, associations and other institutions by rendering consulting services and realizing studies, disseminating technical knowledge to improve micro and small-sized company management, and encouraging the entrepreneurial spirit.

The students are represented by the Academic Center Visconde de Cairu (CAVC).  Besides its representative functions, this center promotes academic, political and conjunctural debates, stimulates the formation of study groups and the publication of articles by students.

Another FEA student association is called Atlética, which is active in the social and sports area.

With the support of Capes, Fapesp and its foundations, FEA faculty members and students accomplish studies, research and theses about an enormous range of subjects, including inequality, poverty, health economy, education economy, agricultural economy, international relations, regional economy,  urban economy, Service Sector administration, organizational economy and strategy, innovation management, teaching and didactics, personnel management, knowledge management, marketing, small and medium-sized companies, socio-environmental management, information technology, retailing and logistics, controllership and management accounting, accounting applied to external users, financial, credit and capital markets, accounting research and teaching.

FEA’s activities are complemented and supported by three private foundations, which were created and are administered by its faculty members: the Foundation Institute for Administration (FIA), which is on the cutting edge of Administration knowledge and is active in research, training and consulting services; the Foundation Institute for Economic Research (FIPE), specialized in research for the public and private sectors in different economic areas, and in the elaboration of various economic indices; and the Foundation Institute for Accounting, Actuarial and Financial Research (FIPECAFI), which is also dedicated to research, advice and specialization and recycling courses.

Located on the University Campus Armando de Salles Oliveira, in São Paulo, FEA occupies six buildings and receives more than five thousand regular students and from other courses offered by the University of São Paulo. This figure does not include students from Permanent Education, Extension and Specialization courses organized by the Foundation Institute for Administration (FIA), the Foundation Institute for Economic Research (FIPE) and the Foundation Institute for Accounting Research (FIPECAFI). 

The School offers rooms, ergonomic furniture and equipment for classes, seminars and videoconferences, a library with more than 140 thousand volumes, data processing units and different services (restaurants, snack bars, bookshop, etc).
