A tese do professor Taylor nesta aula é que "o melhor prognóstico para a desigualdade social é a ausência de acesso e igualdade no ensino superior". Apresenta-nos às atuais discrepâncias raciais no ensino superior dos EUA e destaca vários casos que ilustram a evolução das respostas políticas dos EUA. Summary
Professor Taylor’s thesis in this lecture is that “the greatest predictor for social inequality is the absence of access and equity in higher education.” He introduces us to the current racial disparities in higher education in the United States and highlights several landmark legal cases that illustrate the evolution of US policy responses. Professor Taylor underscores the importance of a broadly educated society. |
