About the Special Student


Art. 94  -   Students who have concluded a higher education course can register for isolated subjects of Graduate courses, in the condition of special students at the USP, but without being a part of its student body.


§ 1º -  The
CPG and the respective program will decide on the acceptance of the special student, hearing the lecturer who is responsible for the subject; in exceptional cases, to be evaluated by the CPG, the requirement stated in the caput of this article can be removed.


§ 2º  -   The eventual change from the condition of special student to that of regular student, with the use of obtained credits, besides depending on the agreement of the advisor, the coordination of the Graduate program and the CPG, can only occur if attending all demands regularly enrolled students are subject to.


§ 3º  -   If the special student becomes a regular student at the University, the credits obtained in Graduate subjects can be used; the advisor can decide on any limitations to the use of these credits.


Art. 95  -  Undergraduate students sent by accredited advisors in Graduate areas at the USP and who are participating in scientific initiation activities recognized by the pertinent CPG can also be allowed as special students, to be evaluated by the
CPG.


§ 1º  -   The credits obtained in this way can be calculated in the total number of credits needed for obtaining the masters or doctoral degree, if the student is admitted in one of these courses within three years after concluding the subject.


§ 2º  -   The CPG can decide on the enrollment of undergraduate students from other teaching institutions.
